Kalista DreamPlay CD Transport

Intended for the most demanding audiophiles and music lovers, the DreamPlay CD transport is an exceptional design that combines visual delight with musical hedonism. Put the disc onto the spindle, cover it with the CD clamp, press play, and shut your eyes: this is how you want to live with music.

The sound quality of the DreamPlay CD is the result of extreme electronics know-how and a combination of noble materials and consummate parts. The chassis is made of massive aluminium, transparent parts are crafted from 60 mm thick methacrylate slabs, and the feet are made of massive stainless steel. All the parts are designed at their workshop and completely built by hand by the Kalista craftsmen. Each device is validated through a series of tests and critical listening sessions before it is packed and shipped.

• Tripode Stand: The DreamPlay devices are made to fit together and can be superimposed. All of them can be put onto their superb furniture, available in 2 shapes and 3 sizes. Customisations on request.
• Silent Bases: Square or triangle-shaped, the optional silent bases are essential components to get rid of vibrations when using your DreamPlay.
• Power Supply: The famous external power supply equips all DreamPlay devices. For Kalista, Elektra is synonymous with strength and precision of a power supply. This is about feeding very demanding equipment with a perfectly filtered and rigorously regulated current.
• Exquisite remote, carved in massive aluminium.
• The Cristal top-cover will protect the mechanism and lens.

Silent Base
Provided with the Kalista Ultimate Signature version, the new Silent Base is now available in 2 thicknesses (40 & 60MM). It gives a huge sonic improvement with more silence between notes, incredible soundstage and dynamic contrast reproduction. The platform is made from Perspex and stainless steel feel and ball system. This architecture allows free movement on the horizontal plane and improves vibration isolation. The DreamPlay CD's main unit is sited on top to the Silent Base. Both of them are linked by the silent base conical feet.

Elektra Power Supply
This new Elektra PSU was designed in 2016 to improve the performance of your CD turntable. It allows removing most of the EMI/RF pollution coming from the power supply by using a special AC filter especially designed by Metronome. The DreamPlay CD is totally isolated from the rest of the system by 16 independent regulation lines. All vibrations and interferences from transformers cannot reach the CD drive and the use of totally separated regulations for the different stages (display, servo control, motor, digital output stage) has great impact on low noise level and silence reproduction performance.

The touchscreen can also be put OFF by a selector at the rear of the the drive unit: all electrical noises coming from the display is then removed and the sound is one step better.
